Reverend Karyn L. Carter,   M. Div.

Karyn is an ordained Baptist minister serving as an Area Chaplain for NYS, Office of Children & Family Services. As a chaplain, she oversees religious program and services, as well as the spiritual needs of male and female juvenile offenders at Industry School, Rush, NY, and other facilities located in Cattaraugus, Auburn, and Tompkins counties. Currently, she is a member of the Rochester Police Department Clergy Response Team, and formerly the director of Families and Friends of Murdered Children & Victims of Violence, Inc. As a spiritual director at PCFT, she specializes in crisis counseling, loss and grief, and juvenile justice issues.
